I am so amazed. Sometimes that is as far as I can get when I think about what has happened in the past month. We suddenly have this perfect little bundle of joy and energy pulling us all together (ok... most of us! a few people are still ticked off that all this is happening and even more ticked because so far it is working out BETTER than anyone could have even imagined!). Emma Sylvie (I love her name!) is such a sweetheart! She was from the first moment we saw her. Even faced with a throng of unfamiliar faces and a completely foreign environment she was quiet and curious and loving. She has such a Power and a way with her. She knows just when to coo and just when to cry to melt even the coolest hearts (although some still won't admit it). I'd like to make a little timeline: January 1, 2000 (12:41am) - Emma Syvie was born and brought from the Void by Bryn to meet all who had gathered January 2, 2000 - came outside to hear Michael's voice on the phone (a happy experience for both of them, I believe) January 3, 2000 - came outside to listen to a bedtime story from Deb and feel what it is like to sleep January 12, 2000 - Emmay Sylvie says her first 'word'... gaagaa (her name for Wandering Spirit) and MaaaAAaa (aka Michael) I'm going to stop there although there is probably a lot more I could say. I will add more after January 27 when Michael arrives and she gets her first chances to be 'out' for extended periods of time. Incase you haven't seen it, she is developing much faster than a 'regular' baby. I would say she is probably about the level of a 6 month old right now. I am curious to see if she will continue to grow so quickly and where she will choose to stop. I think we will all be on our toes once she is big enough to get around on her own and Buty can teach her some *real* mischief!
