My name is Ashee... and this is where I will try and document my journeys, both internally and on the outside.

Who am I? that is a question I am striving to answer. On the outside I am a competent and respected professional. I am quiet with a small group of close friends.

I am, to all outward appearances a perfectly normal 30-something woman.

And yet... inside there are over 60 other people who share my mind and my body.

I am what they call the *host*. That means I was the original personality that came with this body at birth. I suffered through about 20 years of long 'blackouts' and confusing lapses. Finding out about the others inside was both a terrible shock and a sincere blessing.

Until a few months ago I lived *knowing* about the others, but living in a separate place. I was only able to visit with two people (Paul and Bryn) and occasionally I could hear and 'sense' others. That suited me perfectly at the time because I simply wasn't ready to become a part of the community and learn more about the past we have experienced.

With the help and support of my dear friend Michael I finally crossed the barrier on August 14, 1999.

The first sight was of darling Buty running towards me to take my hand and lead me across the bridge which now joins my land with the rest of the community. I felt welcome but I also felt overwhelmed. I am still meeting people and learning more about how *we* work together to make both the inside and the outside run smoothly.

I have a LOT to learn and I am looking forward to sharing parts of my life with you.
